Professionally-trained horticulturist. Floral designer. Garden consultant. Educator.

Studying, stewarding, and cultivating the beauty of the earth with the end goal of connecting with people and bringing them joy, rest, and delight is one of my greatest joys. Simply put—I love people and plants.

From my childhood picking strawberries at 5am with my grandparents on their small produce farm, to working with annuals, perennials, woodies, and customers at a retail greenhouse, to training at Longwood Gardens in an intensive two-year professional horticulture program, to my current position as a full-time horticulturist—I’ve always been enthralled with both the beauty and function of plants.

Currently, I have the privilege of working full-time at Longwood Gardens in the Idea Garden. I spend most of my time in the Ornamental Kitchen Garden where I specialize in growing specialty cut flowers. In addition, I create seasonal container displays and tend the Perennial Border, the oldest garden space in the Idea Garden. In the winter months, I pop over to the Floral Team from time to time to assist with large floral installs. I also teach floral workshops for both kids and adults. In my spare time, I provide garden consulting services for clients and freelance floral work for dinner parties and small weddings.

I’ve had the immense privilege of traveling and gaining inspiration and connections with world-renowned gardens in Europe. Most recently, I traveled to the UK and visited over 15 gardens. I am so thankful for the kind garden professionals who took the time to meet with me and share their passion for their garden spaces. I had the incredible opportunity to guest garden at a couple very special gardens—Sissinghurst Castle Garden and Gravetye Manor. These experiences deepened my awe for the intricacy and beauty of this earth and the level of study, artistry, and intentionality that can be poured into garden spaces.

Looking to the future, I am eager to continue growing as a horticulturist and designer through day to day experiences in the garden. I plan to continue traveling to gardens both regionally and across the world and bring back knowledge and experiences to share and implement in both the garden and vase. I look forward to continue sharing the joy through garden consulting, designing, and teaching. A dream of mine is to coordinate seasonal dinner parties to celebrate community, creativity, and the bounty of the season by partnering with a variety of floral designers, chefs, potters, photographers and more.
